Ladies, may I ask you a question? By Jonathan - Mon, 30 Oct 2006 14:22:15 GMT
=========
I'm not sure where to put this, but I figured it'd be a question I should probably propose to you all.
Should I worry that a female student in my class may have thought I was hitting on her?
Here's the set-up... I was at boxing class on Sunday, and saw a woman that had been in the BJJ class I tried the week prior. After class, I went up to her, introduced myself (saying that I remembered she had been in the BJJ class), asked her what she thought of the class, and whatnot. I figured, I might as well get to know some of my fellow students, and she's the only one I've seen in class more than once. Within the first five minutes or so, she brought up her husband- which is totally cool, but I'm wondering if it was code for "I hope you're not trying to hit on me." Which was absolutely not my intent (since I myself am married, and ended up- if you'll excuse the terminology- parrying with this fact).
She was very nice and pleasant, and we spoke for a few more minutes, but I keep worrying that somehow, inadvertently, I'll get a reputation as "that guy" without meaning to.
Am I overanalyzing this? Should I even worry?
