There's an old story that the first Spanish explorers pointed to a llama and asked some of the native Peruvians "como se llama?" and the natives misundertood that to be the Spanish word for the animal. They henceforth referred to the "llama" whenever they were in conversations with the Spaniards.
I just found out the real origin of the word "llama." Evidently it comes from the same place as the word "condor." The Incans spoke the language Quichua and they were the ones who gave the word to the Spaniards.
I'm betting T-3 loves the fact that this discussion has turned to llama's. Maybe T-3 likes llama's. Who know's? Just in case, here's a nice christmas llama for T-3 in hopes of spreading the holiday spirit:
