Did US invade Iraq?

Simple question as to whether the term "invade" is appropriate on this occassion.

it was more like a scenic sight seeing tour. Basically the US troops just kind of road up to Bagdad and decided they wanted to go on holiday.

Then the locals got a bit out of hand so they beat the hell out of them.

4 days to take out the 3rd largest standing military in the world. Hmmm, think they could have done it faster.

Wouldn't that entail invading yourselves as current occupiers?

I think I would rather see the US return to its isolationist policies. They don't play well with others.
