  • Mouthpiece Sterilization

Hi, does anyone here know the process of sterlizing a mouthpiece? I want to clean my mouthpiece with rubbing alcohol, but I'm sure that there is another way to that, right?

    Sterilized Mouth guard

Joey, you might try soaking the mouth guard in a small glass with anti-septic mouthwash overnight. Take it out the next morning, rinse it off with some water and dry it. I've kept mine clean this way. It seems to work.

i had a thought regarding mouthpieces and self defense. what if u were to carry around a mouthpiece with u to clubs and bars and places that are prone to confrontations. that way if something were to go down, u could pop in your mouthpiece and get down. i know some mouthpieces not only protect your teeth, but they also protect you from getting knocked out since they keep your jaw in place. what do u guys think of this, is it useless or useful ? i know its not much in the way of self defense, but its something. if u could pop in a mouthpiece right before something went down, u would have a small advantage over your opponent.

Hey man can you tell us what brand? I've been looking for one of those anti-shock type mouthguards.

theres this one i have called "the brain pad". supposedly it holds your jaw in place and reduces your chances of getting ko'd or breaking your jaw.

Tom Yum, I brought the WISSP from Fairtex.com. There is two kind, the regular one or the brain pad ultimate muth guard. Go with the ultimate brain pad mouth guard. It's worth your money.

Yes, theoretically. But who wants to carry their mouth-guard with them at all times? It's a bit difficult to carry out conversations while wearing a piece of protective gear in one's mouth. Not to mention in makes eating and drinking messy.
