  • PRIDE RESULTS HERE! Don't click if you don't wanna know...

Someone might as well post results here.

First fight: Vitor Belfort vs Bobby Southworth

2 minutes, Vitor by rear naked choke.

Started on the feet, not much action except Vitor throwing leg kicks, Vitor scores a takedown on the second attempt. He spends about 30 seconds trying to pass guard, gets Southworth halfway turned, and takes his back to sink in the choke.

Second fight, Guy Metzger vs Egan Inoue

1 or 2 minutes, Metzger by KO

Start: Guy attempts several leg kicks, Egan returns with his own. Fighters clinch, Metzger lands knees. Egan gets Guy against the corner. Both fighters exchange blows, and separate. Metzger lands a hard straight right from toe-to-toe and KOs Egan.

        Renzo Gracie vs Dan Henderson

I can't wait to find out on this one!!! Let's see....

        20 seconds, Henderson by KO!

On the feet, Renzo lands some early punches and misses some kicks, then tries and fails for a takedown. Renzo tries to pull Dan into guard, and fails.

Back on feet, Renzo lands more hard punches to Dan's face, then tries another takedown. Henderson sprawled and landed two hard punch while sprawling, and KOs Renzo instantly.

            Allan Goes vs Mark Coleman

            20 seconds, Coleman by KO

Coleman gets the takedown, ends up in Goes' guard. Coleman passes and lands several knees to Goes' head, KO'ing Goes completely. After a few seconds, Goes wakes up and runs after Coleman, not realizing that he was KO'd. Goes realizes what happened after everyone jumps in the ring after him, and then congratulates Coleman.

              Masaasi Sataki vs Tadao Yasuda

              Yasuda wins via decision.

Yasuda weighs 309lbs. Fighters clinch against the ropes for most of the fight, intermittently stalling and exchanging knees. Fighters keep getting yellow cards and being separated. Yasuda is a popular pro wrestler, fight may be a work. A long boring fight by reports.

                Igor Vovchanchyn vs Tre Telligman

                Telligman by decision

Not sure about the specifics, but Telligman dominated the last two rounds by taking Igor down and striking from within the guard and half guard.

I want to see a Vanderlei Silva vs. Tito Ortiz rematch in Pride with kicking a downed opponent and knees on the ground allowed. I'd also like to see them weigh in the day of the fight.
The way I see it, these two have got to be the two highest ranked Middleweights in the world right now. Silva is coming off of wins over Dan Henderson and Kazushi Sakuraba. He was easily a legitimate Top Ten 10 Middleweight even before his last victories.
Silva lost a fairly close decision to Ortiz. Additionally, current Pride rules are more favorable to Silva than current UFC rules.
Of course, Kevin Randlman might beat Tito Ortiz first.

Too bad we couldn't have a joint Pride-UFC Middleweight tournament.

How about Tito Ortiz vs. Vitor Belfort, Kevin Randleman vs. Renzo Gracie, Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Dan Henderson, and Vanderlei Silva vs. Frank Shamrock in an 8 man tournament? For alternate fights, I would pick Lidell vs. Sinosic and Horn vs. Metzger.

My money would be on Vitor Belfort in that tournament.

                          Dan the Man

And to think, people actually thought that Renzo Gracie stood a chance!!!!

People talk so much smack about Henderson and I just thank GOD he SPANKED GRACIE!!!

Some people believed that not only would Renzo win, he would DOMINATE. That tells you just how insidious having one's head up his ass can be!

They also said that Renzo would take Henderson down.

                          Hmmm.....

                          Way to go DAN!

                              Amazing results! Thanks guys!

I must say that I am a little proud of the effectiveness of ground and pound. It is really devastating if done correctly.

Newbie, that was possibly the funniest thing I've ever read LOL
