    How far do you guys run and for how long?

    I`m finally getting myself discined enough to start running regularly. Yesterday I went for 6 km in about 35 minutes.

      It depends on the day. I can do 2 miles in just under 20 min's, but my usual pace is 20-22 minutes. I am running to get into shape at this point, not to fight. You have to pick up the pace and get under a 10-minute mile if you're fight training.

      Sorry, I don't know the Mile->Kilometer equations...

        During my offseason I cut back running 3X per week instead of (5-6). Before I run, I stretch and do 10 min of steady rope work. The kind of running that I do now is 3:00 @ 70% of my max speed and 1:00 coasting. Total distance covered is 2 miles taking a total time of 15:47. I get about 4 "rounds" and i'm pooped.

        My goal in the next two weeks is to add another half mile to the total distance in under 4 min for that additional half mile.

            I think the conversion is 1mile = 1.6km.

            In that case I'm running 3.2km to 4.8km 3x per week.

              One mile = .6km
              therefore a 5K run is 3 miles

                  wait a sec...if the mile run is 4 laps around the olympic track, then it is 1600 m or 1.6 km, right?

                      A mile is longer than a km. I seem to remember 1.6 km = 1 mile. It looks like I`m doing just under a 10 minute mile.

                          No, but i think the standard olympic track is 400 M. You have variations.

                            If you wanna be dead picky.

                            1m = 1.62km

                              No 1000 m = 1km
