this is nonsense, you really need to get into the real world with your training ideas. you always have these insane ideas for training that no one uses cos they dont work.
You need to stop seaching for something special and accept we know what works and what doesnt already. You can ignore 2000+ years of development.
    so stop trying to.
Old ideas are ditched cos they dont work.

Yeah... I spose I am crazy... How would I break my wrist?? Its held up so far! Punch the ground, rettract your hand, then put both down in teh same position on your knuckles, jump, repeat but ont he other side, and continue till your hands bleed XD Nah, but seriously, it does work,. but you do need a lot of prior conditioning beforehand, and you also need to be very careful, best just to stick with the plyo knuckle push-ups for a while before you try that, on gradually hardening surfaces... eg, mats, carpet, thinner carpet, vinyl floor, Marble or tiles, then rough concrete. Hahaha... yeah. Actually... if I were you i'd leave out those last two ^_^

Real world eh? Whats wrong with kicking the crap out of the ground with your hands? Asides from the fact that you dont kick with your hands... It works, though I wouldnt reccomend it, like I just posted, i'd suggest just sticking to plyometric knuckle push-ups. Though the BEST knuckle conditioning exercise, is just punch a hard n' heavy, heavy bag minus the gloves, makiwaras are kickass too... And old idea do work. What worked then will work now... unless I'm mistaken? Old ideas are ditched because people think that there way is the only way. I'm just opening the door to new ideas, your mind is like a parachute... it stops working when you punch too many holes in it. Wait... what?

old ideas that are universally disregarded generally dont work, digging them up doesnt acheive anything other than make the people taht do so feel they are unearthing some mysterious secret no one else knows about that will give them an edge.

Yeah thats true... but why are we talking about old ideas? Whats that got to do with doing push-ups? Everyone does push-ups, so obviously they aint disregarded. Though quiteoften old ideas that DO help are oft overlooked. Due to the very one track mind of many individuals. The way I see it, somthing doesnt have to DIRECTLY apply to what your doing to help your training. Any physical skill will help in some way, just some more than others dependingon what physical activity your participating in. For Example, runners also cycle and use dumbbells to mix things up. So there aint nothing wrong with trying new things and expanding oyur horizons.

You just said that there are better ways to train. Why do it then? No point at all.

Kanik, you arent talking about push ups really are you though, you are talking about pushing yourself off the ground and then punching it.
It doesnt make any sense does it.
Just stop and think for a minute.

Haha, you people are great. Seriously. Why do it? Because its good to do different and new things, its good to mix things up. It keeps your mind active, and in a state of adaptability. Anyone who is experianced with training, will tell you that if you do the same thing for too long, your body becomes too used to it, and thus you get less out of it, so to change to somthing that may seemingly be less useful, such as cycling if your a runner, rather than running. You are actually allowing yourself to progress further. And ghost! I am talking about doing a plyometric push-up with an added explosive strike before you land, and I do think its rather funny how you kinda exploded when I jokingly said "hell! even PUNCH the ground". though I mean, if you think its a good idea then by all means do it. Thats somthing we dont get enough of these days, epople trying out there won ideas, everyone always asks other opeoples oppinions, and when there are so many closed oppinions around, everyone just starts doing the exact same thing, and where's the fun in that? what to speak of... where the hell is the HARDCORENESS!!!! if thats a word...

Shut..up...If you do something just for the sake of looking and feeling "hardcore" you are suffering from a Karate kid syndrome. Just do what works the best. You are recommending something completely stupid.

And I'm saying what works best is different for everyone, and that theres no harm in experimenting and trying new things. I mean, thats how we got here in the first place, and naturally thats the only way we'll ever get better. Just open your mind to some new ideas man, there is never only ONE way to go about somthing.
